OUR BELIEFS

Our Mission

The purpose of Redeemer Temple is to carry out the mandate set forth in the New Testament by our Lord Jesus Christ for His church. This will be fulfilled through four primary functions:

   1. Evangelization (Matthew 10:7,8; 28:19; II Timothy 4:5)

   2. The on-going instruction of those evangelized for Christ, as well as others whom the Holy Spirit may lead to become a part of this

expression of the Body of Christ (Matthew 18:20; Colossians 1:25-29).

   3. Equipping the Body to minister to one another (Ephesians 4:11-16).

   4. The releasing of those into ministry that God has called out for His purposes (Acts 13:2-3).

   5. The corporate goal of this fellowship will be to infiltrate and permeate the entirety of society with the righteous and holy standards of Christ's kingdom according to our Lord's directive (Matthew 5:13-16).

Doctrinal Statement

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and fully trustworthy guide for all spiritual truth.

We believ e that there is one God, who has revealed Himself in three distinct personalities, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe Jesus Christ is God and became a man at the time of His incarnation, fully identifying with humanity.

We believe he lived an absolutely sinless life and suffered and died on the cross for our sins.

We believe He arose from the dead after three days, vindicating His Deity, setting Christianity apart and exclusively above all other religions. His next major event and hope of every believer is Christ's second coming.

We believe every individual is offered the gift of eternal life by receiving the completed redeeming work of Jesus Christ on the cross for sin.

We believe coming by way of the cross is the only way to come into fellowship with God for eternity and enjoy godly and wholesome relationships with others.

We believe mankind receives the gift of eternal life by confessing and turning away from his sins.

We believe in the personal and experiential ministry of the Holy Spirit who empowers us for Christian service, showing us when we sin, helping us to turn from sin, and enabling us to live a godly life.

We believe the Church is the creation of the Lord Jesus Christ and He is both its founding head and sustainer of the body.

We believe one day all people will stand before God in final judgment to determine their eternal destiny - Heaven or hell.

Statement of Beliefs

1. We believe in the Bible as the inspired, infallible Word of God (II Timothy 3:15,15; Isaiah 55:11).

2. We believe in one infinite, personal God whose divine being exists in three distinguishable persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Though these Three are coequal and coeternal, each is distinct, but with harmonious functions. This one true and living God is the creator of the heavens and the earth, and uniquely all mankind (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; Ephesians 1:3-14; Genesis 1:1; Colossians 1:16; Genesis 1:26-27; Acts 17:24-26).

3. We believe in the virgin birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, His sinless life, His vicarious atoning death upon the cross, His physical resurrection and ascension and His second coming (Matthew 1:18-25; Romans 8:24; Acts 1:10; John 14:2,3; Acts 1:11; Hebrews 4:15).

4. We believe in salvation by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8, 9; Romans 5:8,9).

5. We believe in water baptism by immersion preceded by an act of repentance (Luke 3:3; Acts 2:38; Matthew 28:19)

6. We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial Biblical physical evidence of speaking in other tongues and prophecy (Acts 2:4; 10:44-48; Acts 19:6) and the present day ministry of the gifts of the Holy Spirit (ICorinthians 1:4-8; 12-14; Romans 12: 3-16; I Peter 4:10-11). In consideration of our brothers and sisters who may not have had the same initial experience, we acknowledge the continuing evidence of godly character as manifested in the fruit of the spirit (I Corinthians 10:13; Galatians 5:22-23).

7. We believe in the divine healing provided through the redemptive work of our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross (Isaiah 53:4; Matthew 8:16,17).

8. We believe in the sanctifying and keeping power of the Holy Spirit who enables us to live a holy life (I Thessalonians 4:3; II Thessalonians 2:13; Hebrews 12:14; I Peter 1:3-5).

9. We believe in the commitment of each member to a continuing faithfulness to the doctrines, fellowship, prayer, and financial support of this body (Acts 2:42-47; II Corinthians 9:6-8).

MISSION STATEMENT

Declaration of Religious Mission and Purposes
The purpose of Redeemer Temple is to carry out the mandate set forth in the New Testament by our Lord Jesus Christ for His church. This will be fulfilled through four primary functions:

Evangelization

7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead,[a] cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”   Matthew 10:7-8 NKJV

19 Go therefore[a] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  Matthew 28:19 NKJV

5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.   II Timothy 4:5 NKJV

The on-going instruction of those evangelized for Christ, as well as others whom the Holy Spirit may lead to become a part of this expression of the Body of Christ.

20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”   Matthew 18:20 NKJV

25 of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God, 26 the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. 27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which[a] is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. 29 To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.   Colossians 1:25-29 NKJV

Equipping the Body to minister to one another.

11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,   Ephesians 4:11-16 NKJV

The releasing of those into ministry that God has called out for His purposes.

2 As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”3 Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away.   Acts 13:2-3 NKJV

The corporate goal of this fellowship will be to infiltrate and permeate the entirety of society with the righteous and holy standards of Christ’s kingdom according to our Lord’s directive.

13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. 14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be Hidden.15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.   Matthew 5:13-16 NKJV
