Pastor Jerry Schoel

Pastor Jerry was born in Birmingham, Alabama on November 15, 1940. He came to know Jesus as his Savior at the age of 14 at a Lutheran summer retreat. Shortly thereafter he felt the leading of God to become a Lutheran pastor. He graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis in 1967 with a Master's Degree in Sacred Theology. He began his ministry serving as an associate pastor at Mt. Zion Lutheran church as well as teaching part-time at Lutheran High School. He and his wife Jan received the infilling of the Holy Spirit the following year. This experience resulted in redirecting his ministry to become an associate pastor at Redeemer Temple where he served for over 22 years. He then started a new church in Jefferson County and served there for around 12 years. He returned to Redeemer Temple in the year 2004 and serves there at present. His ministry now mostly involves not only preaching and teaching, but also outreach to nursing homes and senior assisted living centers. He and his team of associates lead six services and Bible studies weekly.

He and his wife Jan have been married 40 years and have five children and three grandchildren.

Pastor Lloyd Apodaca

Lloyd Apodaca was born in Denver, Colorado. He came to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior while working at the Denver Public Schools as a custodian at Stevens Elementary School - May 31, 1966. Since that time, he has done whatever he could to serve the Lord.

In 1968, he volunteered as a custodian at the church and became a pastor in 1973. He led home fellowship groups, taught Bible Studies in various cities of Colorado, and preached at Canon City prison for seven years. In 1980, Pastor Lloyd was sent to Fort Morgan to plant a church. He and his family spent four years in Fort Morgan and then returned to Redeemer Temple in 1984.

In 1973 Lloyd began to work with an orphanage in Juarez, Mexico. This ministry has blossomed to what it is today – a helping hand to campesinos farmers in the Torreon area. People are assisted with clothing, shoes, food, dental care, and Bible teaching. With the financial support of other churches working with Redeemer, ten churches have been built and six pastors are supported each month. As of 2008, it will be 35 years of ministry to Mexico. Lloyd and his wife, Jeannie, have been married for 51 years. They have three children and six grandchildren.
